I do like the idea of experimenting with one where it is darker though but with some flashes of colour from the sunset left. Maybe the yellow/gold on the horizon with a few gold reflections(?)in the foreground would be a fair compromise. Every time I look at paintings my enthusiasm seems to switch back and forth as I notice more and more interesting things in each.<br />annieanniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06021356337010751802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16927229.post-61602121972767256762011-06-04T10:49:55.882+00:002011-06-04T10:49:55.882+00:00Very nice moody sketch, Vivien. I tried watercolour with it too but initial results were muddy and so I need to play with that a bit more.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14423986562925121890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16927229.post-54618721335553388052011-06-04T09:52:54.867+00:002011-06-04T09:52:54.867+00:00I'd like to see what you do with it - maybe a ...I'd like to see what you do with it - maybe a bit too moody for summer in Italy or the trip to Provence - but evenings? could be good for evening sketching :>)vivienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16820836660470146799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16927229.post-71446897610398507272011-06-04T09:47:19.406+00:002011-06-04T09:47:19.406+00:00I've been thinking a lot lately about combinin...I've been thinking a lot lately about combining watercolour and charcoal. It's probably your influence, Vivien. My favourite of the colour versions of this drawing is the first one but I love the original sketch too.Robyn Sinclairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01663604160297996421noreply@blogger.com
