Feather in coloured pencil

Feather in Coloured Pencil. Vivien Blackburn approx 5 ins square

A friend gave me some beautiful feathers and I couldn't resist drawing one. This is in coloured pencil, a mix of Lyra and Polychromos.

If you like it enough :>) I've just added it to my Etsy shop http://www.vivienb.etsy.com/ - as I enjoy drawing feathers I thought I'd do a series for the shop.

A good idea do you think?

It's become impossible for me to look at a feather now, without thinking of you Vivien. You've really made them your own!

Another lovely feather - I really liked the other ones you did in various mediums. You are so adventurous - wish I had an ounce of your creative courage!

thank you ALL!!!

that's it! I shall do a series for the Etsy shop!

Robyn I shall tackle that lovely capercaille feather you sent at some point - isn't it beautifully irridescent?

I just like playing Anita!

Oh good - you're going to draw one of Robyn's feathers.
I wish I still had my feathers from all the colourful chooks we had. Back then, I wore some pretty fancy hats!
