details of winter snow

close ups of the image from yesterday

The paper was a pale grey, the whites are oil paint put on with a flat brush in single strokes between the branches, leaving bits of the grey flickering through the entire image.

They would make interesting large canvasses if only I could keep them that simple ....

..... large brushes .... lots of paint ......

and time ....

Lovely, uncomplicated pieces, Vivien. When I see loose brushwork I sometimes think I might dig out my brushes again...

By the way, I did try to dowload Artweaver, but my system tells me its authorship is unverifiable (?) and may crash my system. So I stopped!
I might still "play" the game using the Fujica camera programme.

Thanks Dinah - yes do try.

It does say that but caused no problems with my friend's computer when she continued the download.

I haven't tried using the Fuji programme for this - I've got a Fuji camera too but tend to just use the slide show and little else. It will be interesting to see what you do with it.

I agree. Vivien, that would be a stunner. In fact. on my LED, it already is.

thanks Annie :>)
These details are yummy! I'm now pressed to try creating abstracts in future paintings. I was wondering what to try for 2010.... Thanks for the inspiration :)
